THE ITALIAN INFLUENCE

For 13 years, my husband and I owned a traditional stone farmhouse in the Umbria region of Italy. The house was named "Caifiordi" which means, I am told, house of fiords.  I was able to spend a great deal of time there.  The life I lived in Italy had a profound influence on who I am as a person as well as on the art I create. We sold the house in 2014 yet Italy is a recurring theme in my art even now.
